Jamie Page – Physiotherapist
Jamie graduated from Salford University U.K. in 2005, with a BSc in Sports Rehabilitation. He moved to Australia the same year and completed his Masters in Physiotherapy at Sydney University in 2008.
Jamie had originally worked as personal trainer and completed a Personal Training and Sports Therapy Diploma in 2002. His background from personal training to physiotherapy ensured Jamie became very passionate about how people move early on and opened up questions as to why people struggled to move optimally or experienced pain?
He has a musculoskeletal approach to physiotherapy, looking at posture and biomechanics as a factor in performance, injury and recovery.
Jamie has completed numerous post-graduate courses including dry needling, myofascial release, articular and muscle energy techniques and understanding chronic pain.
His particular interest is hip and shoulder dysfunction and muscle function around these joints. He is enrolled to attend Dr Alison Grimaldi’s dynamic hip retraining course this year and is working on writing exercise programs based on specific common dysfunctions for the shoulder, hip and spine. He has previously ran workshops in this area for personal trainers.
Jamie is involved in a NSW PHD research project for the treatment of chronic pelvic and back pain. Jamie additionally runs a personal training studio in Darlinghurst doing a combination of physiotherapy and personal training.
